DefenSight treats all client-provided research data, images, and metadata (“Client Data”) as confidential. Client Data is stored using secure, access-controlled systems and is used only to deliver the agreed analytical services and/or approved collaborative research activities. We do not disclose Client Data to third parties except (i) to approved service providers acting under confidentiality and security obligations (e.g., secure hosting), (ii) with client authorisation, or (iii) where required by law.
DefenSight does not claim ownership of Client Data or client-supplied biological materials. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all intellectual property in experimental design, samples, and raw imagery remains with the client.
DefenSight retains all rights in its pre-existing and independently developed methods, workflows, software, scoring frameworks, models, and know-how (“DefenSight Materials”), including any general improvements developed while providing services. Clients receive a licence to use the agreed deliverables for internal purposes, but no rights to DefenSight Materials are transferred.
Project deliverables (e.g., reports, dashboards, and result summaries) are provided as agreed in the statement of work. Where deliverables include derived outputs (e.g., measurements, annotations, masks), ownership and permitted use will be defined in writing for the project.
Clients may request deletion of Client Data. DefenSight will take commercially reasonable steps to delete Client Data from active systems, subject to legal/contractual retention obligations and reasonable backup/archiving cycles.
For Defence-aligned or CBRN-sensitive work, additional handling controls (e.g., restricted access, offline processing, or approved secure environments) can be accommodated by agreement.
